Planning Ancillary products - Location choice for photos
For my front cover I chose the location of a brick wall in Angel. The reason for this was to follow the conventions of the Indie genre; making sure that the shot looked simplistic but indulging. The use of the brick wall in my opinion gives the image of my artist soulful and energetic look. From this image I can see the seriousness in the facial expression and the background is just a plain brown brick wall which conventionally challenges the perspective of the Indie genre. The clothing contrasts well with the location. The fact that he is just standing there alone leaning against the wall shows how committed he is to his music. As the indie genre focus on the talent of the artist rather than the appearance, I think the location that I have chose to take the shot works well I can use the whole picture to use as my front and back cover. I will do this so that the audience will be focused on the artist the whole time they see it. There will be nothing to lose the audiences focus off of the artist, that is why I chose this location to take my photos.
