Choice of font/Range of colour:
Ed Sheeran's first Pop/Folk album uses a hand-written, typewriter-like font which gives the impression that his work is authentic and tells a story of him. As this is his first album, the font suggests that his album tells a story about him. He is a folk artist. In the genre of Folk, it is common for the artists to write their own songs which means the typewriter-like font suggests that his songs are written by him and are close to him. This is all conventional of the Folk/Indie genre as the artist's musical talents tend to be strongly portrayed.
The colour scheme consists merely of the colour orange and white. Sheeran is known for his distinctive, ginger hair which justifies why they used the colour ginger for his album as it introduces him to the industry in a unique way and makes it easier for his target audience to identify him as his unique appearance has been highlighted through the production of his ancillary products.

Synergy links:
Throughout the ancillary work, an extreme close up of Ed Sheeran is used. This clearly establishes his appearance to his audience as it is his first album. The font of his name is the largest set of text, after the album title. The simplistic use of texts makes the introduction to Sheeran as an artist, clearer to his audience as his name title is clear and big, with only the album title accompanying his name.

Choice of font/Range of colours:
This album cover has used large, bold font which is simplistic but it makes the name of the artist clear to the intended audience. The back of the album also takes up a very simplistic feel by using a plain white background with black, clear font. This reflects his authenticity as he writes his own songs and reflects the simplicity of his album as his authentic approach to making his music is conveyed through his talents of playing the guitar which he includes in all of his songs on the album. The picture of him in deep water gives the idea that this album will explore the depths of Ben Howard himself as his songs are written by him, making them very personal to him. This is very conventional of the Indie/Folk genre as the songs tend to be personal and meaningful in comparison to the songs at the top of the charts which tend to be merely disco music with meaningless lyrics.

Synergy links:
Throughout all of the ancillary products, there is a sense of simplicity portrayed, however it holds a meaningful deeper meaning. The same, simplistic font is featured, along with the release date in the album advertisement which is crucial for the introduction to the intended audience. The only additional feature featured in the album advertisement alone, is the release date. This simplistic feel draws attention to his songs rather than his appearance which is common of the Folk/Indie genre.
