Mulveys Theory

Laura Mulvey theorized that in a society ran by and for men, music videos were made to appeal to what they wanted to see, highlighting the parts of the female form men found most attractive and showing things from their point of view, so what they looked like.
So from this we would expect to see women being sold in music videos showing the parts men found best this was done through things Mulvey said like dismembering body parts on camera like a butt.

In this Dizzie Rascal video for " Holiday" we straight away see nothing but women in bikinis some dismembering when we're shown cleavage of one. We see as the women enters the party a man opening the door and obviously checking her out, inviting us to and showing that it's normal, men in this video can also cover up their bodies and wear more where women only wear bikinis and there's also only a few men in a sea of women. Women pop out their butts to show them off and invite us to take a look, make-out with each other to please men and don't react to men checking them out showing it's normal and okay. Finally Dizzie gets the women we've been following for the whole video into a car easily.

In Nicki Minaj's "Superbass"we see dismembering of her eyes, which they've used make-up and fake lashes to do up and make look good. In this video we see dismembering of a man's body, since a female artist we can expect this top change, however we do see more of the women presenting themselves when they're dancing on the men and Nicki pours herself with paint, breaking convention a bit, but overall women are still the main eye candy.

In this Robin Thicke vieo we see women walking and dancing around almost naked and wearing skin toned underwear to make them seem naked, in fact they have an unrated version of the video where the women are naked. The lyrics "good girl if you want it" show the male view that women should want sex. The women in this video serve the men, filling their drinks and lighting their cigars and play around for their amusement as they watch them, and the woman 2:18 coughs when having smoke blown in her face showing she can't handle manly things and is fragile while the men stay cool.
