lip-syncing practical

In lesson today we learnt how to edit video of a song to the original track, very different from what we were doing last year in editing as this time rather than choosing which shots came up when we simply put them all down at once and deleted the shots we didn't want.
To match up the lip-syncing with the original song, on every shot we had to mark a specific word the student sang, which was also marked in the song, we then matched up these two markers making the whole clip sync with the song lyrics, we done this 7 times for each different shot.
Once we don't this we went through the song and put markers to the beat on the songs timeline, we then cut down theses marks so that we could cut shots on a beat to make it go with the song. once we had the song matched up with the video shots I found editing the music video easy, the initial marking of the specific word was what I found hardest as it had to be perfect and if not the whole video would be off and this would have to be re-done.
